Merlo Space Hire

Testimonials

I have no hesitation in recommending this machine for film production. We (Volcano Lighting) used it extensively on the film (Aliens in the attic) to fly a 40ft by 40ft silk on a truss type frame as well as a large user friendly cage for lights on the night shoots over fairly unstable ground. It was manoeuvrable and able to get into some fairly tight spaces and out of the back of shot with the minimum of fuss.

Our next option would have been a large Kato type crane which would have required extra roading put in and which put it out of budget and unable to manoeuvre of the roads built for it. Also this machine is owner operated and Noel was extremely versatile with the ever changing schedules and requirements and fitted in well with all the departments needs.

I look forward to using the Merlo again.

Noel recently helped me with the filming of "Aliens in the Attic". We had a number of problems that needed solving and Noel and his Merlo were the perfect solution. The Merlo provided the perfect combination of weight, reach and mobility we were after.

Noel‘s cheerful professional attitude made this job a pleasure to work on Grant McKinnon.

Gaffer “Aliens in the Attic"

My name is Mark Tierney from Auckland New Zealand.
I was the rigging Gaffer on Disney Movie, “Aliens In the Attic”, and responsible for pre-lighting all of the sets as well as exterior location- day and night lighting.

We used many different types of access machines through the shoot and as many as nine (at once) on several nights.

Noel West’s Merlo out preformed, outreached, out lifted, all of the other machines by a “country mile”…. AND we barley utilised its transformer like capacity.

I have no problem recommending the Merlo to any type os business.
The Merlo is 1st choice for me !!!!
